Student Ministry

Central Student Ministry is here to serve all students in grades 6-12. Our mission is to lead students in building a foundational relationship with Jesus Christ. Central is an inviting environment and welcomes all students who want to learn and grown in their faith. We seek to be biblically based while being culturally relevant in our discussions. We learn and grow through study, service and fellowship together.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact Rev. Stephanie Parrott, Director of Children and Youth Ministries, via email or at (865) 524-1659.

Sundays

Our students are active and productive members of the congregation. Our students serve in the worship service by being greeters, readers, ushers, nursery volunteers, and volunteers for Children’s worship. Youth are encouraged to attend worship with their families on Sundays and volunteer to participate in areas of worship they would like to explore.

Starting back this Fall, Youth hope to return to meeting on the 3rd Sunday evening of each month for EXPLORE. Youth families host us for dinner, or we meet up for dinner out, and afterwards we gather for activities and discussion about current events or issues that affect how we live as Christians in the world.

Student Ministry Activities

The students participate in service projects throughout the year including an annual mission weekend each summer. These mission projects are ways for our students to engage and explore ministries in our community and ways God may be calling them to serve others.

Central Students also attend Resurrection every January where they join thousands of other youth to worship, learn, and grow in their faith.
